Thank you for applying to Oregon State University for graduate-level studies. We hope you will soon be joining our community of scholars by accepting the offer of admission.
The Graduate School invites you to attend Graduate Summer Step: a two-and-a-half-day, pre-fall term event to support newly admitted, degree-seeking graduate students prior to our annual fall orientation activities. Space is limited, so please register using the link below as soon as you can.
We designed Graduate Summer Step to support the acclimation and success of graduate students who identify with historically marginalized communities, including, but not limited to, students of color, first-generation students, and low-income students. The Graduate School is offering this residential event at no cost to participants and will provide campus housing for participants during the event, if needed.
The goals of the Graduate Summer Step program are to support newly admitted graduate students in:
Navigating and acclimating to Oregon, Corvallis, and Oregon State University
Networking with faculty, staff, and peers across the institution and within their graduate programs to establish community and early connections
Developing skills and knowledge for academic, research, and personal success
Engaging in and planning for ongoing professional development
You can learn more about this event and get registered at our Graduate Summer Step website.
