Sometimes, the best education comes from outside the classroom
Dear [First Name],
From nutrition and physical education to mental health and motorcycle safety, the college’s faculty reach Oregonians across the state through Public Health Extension, part of the OSU Extension Service.
Of the nation's 50-plus accredited schools of public health, we're the only one with outreach built in.
Because we believe in local solutions and are committed to our land grant mission of engaging communities, our faculty work hand in hand with thousands of our neighbors in every county in Oregon to improve health and well-being by applying science to current health challenges.
Our program provides people with informational, behavioral and support strategies so they can make healthy and safe choices. We also use environmental and collaborative strategies, systems and policy interventions, and capacity building to help ensure healthy and safe environments.
Our relationship with Extension helps you engage in learning beyond the classroom and enables interdisciplinary researchers to partner together and share discoveries that improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
Sincerely,
The Oregon State MPH Team
