As a kinesiology graduate student, you will apply the specific skills and knowledge you gain in coursework to projects conducted under the direction of faculty members with whom you share research interests.
Faculty study a broad range of areas, including:
the effect of exercise on insulin resistance
movement in children with disability
neuroendocrine regulation of body weight and bone metabolism
temporal relationships between disability onset and chronic conditions
the psycho-social and socio-cultural aspects of health and physical activity
Our graduate admissions process runs through individual faculty members who choose to accept interested students who match their area of research.
We highly encourage you to explore our research labs and follow-up directly with faculty members with whom you share research interests to inquire about their capacity for students.
They will also be the best resource for information about what they are looking for in students and how the application process works.
Sincerely,
David Cortez, EdM
