Internships are integrated into your coursework to help you gain hands-on experience and become an effective public health leader.
Tonya Johnson, our full-time internship coordinator, will help you identify a position and complete all the necessary steps.
We have existing partnerships across Oregon, the United States and globe, and if you find an internship we aren’t already partnered with, Tonya can help set it up. Common internship settings include government, hospitals and clinics, non-governmental organizations and corporations.
For example, MPH students pursuing the health promotion health behavior option have landed internships at Linn County - Department of Health Services and Rede Group Consulting. Past projects include:
Conduct an environmental and systems approach to food insecurity – Wellness WINS
Evaluation of access to reproductive and sexual health services
