Dear Aisha,
Few professions have the potential to impact lives like teaching. The Master of Arts in Teaching in-person program at OSU-Cascades offers an endorsement in Elementary Education as well as Secondary endorsements in Social Studies, Language Arts, Math, Integrated Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and ongoing coursework to support continuing learning and accreditation, including the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement.
The Master of Arts in Teaching in Clinically Based Elementary Education online program at OSU-Cascades allows students to learn from renowned OSU faculty through Oregon State's Ecampus while co-teaching with experienced senior teachers in our partner districts. Endorsements are offered in Elementary Education (Multiple Subjects) as well as ESOL or Dual-Language (DL) options.
Our nationally accredited teaching program offers the opportunity for pre-service teacher candidates to gain the skills necessary to begin a successful and sustained career in education. The program gives you exceptional in-classroom instruction using a cohort model, where students form strong bonds as they progress through their coursework together. Faculty
include teaching practitioners and researchers. With a physical campus and modern classroom buildings, we are the only public university offering a site-based teaching degree in Central Oregon.
Prefer to study online from your Oregon home? Choose the Ecampus, Elementary Education program. Through the online Elementary Education program, complete your graduate coursework through top-ranked OSU Ecampus and your student teaching in partner school districts throughout Oregon. The two-year online cohort program offers wrap-around support for students throughout the program with hyflex meetings each term to connect with peers and faculty.
Our student teaching placements allow teacher candidates the opportunity to practice what they learn in the university classroom under the guidance of a master teacher. Placements occur in schools within the local school districts, where OSU-Cascades' graduate teaching program is considered a partner of choice.
The cohort-based program begins in June and includes an intensive summer session, with clinical placement and coursework continuing throughout the academic school year. Apply online.
